About the Artist

Chris A. Owens

Chris is on a mixed media journey to inject art into function while incorporating vintage and historical elements.

She studied graphic design and then began working in polymer in 2007. Her signature items are artisan veneered canteens and mini-kaleidoscopes. Each year a portion of her work supports women’s organizations and other not-for-profit community groups. CAB’z is the artist signature for RetroVenue Studio. The “Bz” and whimsical bees tucked into her work honor the Polish branch of her family and English translation of her maiden name, “Beekeeper.”

You can find her work at Edenside Gallery (1422 Bardstown Rd) and in her studio. RetroVenue Studio Location: Art Sanctuary – 1433 S. Shelby Street, Louisville KY. Please contact in advance for studio access via Facebook @RetroVenue or by texting 502-625-5094.
